First listen didn't do a lot for me but I will give it another listen over the next day or so as I need to get these rolling again.

For Rainard Jalen:

Flying Lotus - Los Angeles (2008)

Flying Lotus is a Laptop musician who has provided a lot of music for the programme adult:swim. His music draws on a many influences including Jazz but after 2 listens I have to say that I still don't like it. Nothing in particular stands out and repetition sets in early. The beats have a hazy quality to them but there is just not enough variation and the almost total absence of vocals means that there is nothing to latch onto when listening although I really like instrumental albums this isn't for me. 4/10

I've been listening to 1983 lately and thought it was fairly good, maybe more background music but still solid. Unexpected Delight is a brilliant song.

Just listening to it now. It's damn good. Review upon second run through.

i understood what he was saying upon hearing it. it's not right man and i think the jolts are far too forced which says something about their minds... it's not to completely disregard it in any way, but you've got to admit - when you're trying to hard - there's nothing good coming out.
