Rowan did a lot of stuff before Mr. Bean but most of us uncultured Americans only know him for that.
I mean it's understandable, physical comedy has more international appeal than any other kind of comedy and while it's a genre of comedy that gets little respect the original Mr. Bean show is in fact pretty damn funny and holds up really well. I still need to check out Blackadder, I've seen some clips of it on YouTube that are pretty great.
