He's fantastic, but he was completely unknown here until House, and he's now so associated with that role that it's probably killed his career to an extent on this side of the pond. No idea if he ever did stand-up, but he's got as much an instinct for comedy as he does for actual acting. I hope he manages to find a new role to make his own in America before he becomes another "Where are they now?" dude.

He's also known for Jeeves and Wooster, A bit of Fry and Laurie and he has appeared intermittently in Spooks, probably other shows too. But yeah, none of these shows are known much over there on your big island and if anyone knows him outside of House it's for Blackadder. Sad really.

Until he does, you can always watch Jeeves and Wooster. I'm on my third time through the show, and I still laugh out loud in every single episode.

Blackadder's pretty niche around here. I could talk to 100 people in America and be surprised if more than 10 people had any idea what I was talking about, let alone actually watched the show.

Yeah, I assumed that. Well it is very English humour. But even so, how many of those 100 people would know what Jeeves and Wooster was, or if you asked them if they'd like A bit of Fry and Laurie, esp women, would be inclined to slap you in the face? ;) It may be niche, but it's the best-known you Yanks can get when it comes to Laurie, maybe even Atkinson (do yaz even know about Rowan over there? He's like a comedy god here...)

As far as Laurie? None of that even registers with me. And even I only like some Black Adder. As far as Rowan, I think Mr. Bean has, or at least had at one point, some small amount of name recognition. Like, we think he's like your version of the Three Stooges or something, but we can't be sure.

Joni Mitchell - The Hissing Of Summer Lawns (1975)

Well, fuck me. An album of middle class white girl problems that doesn't suck.

I mean is that even possible?

Consider me gobsmacked.

You need to stop rambling in these reviews. You think people have all day to read about every note and lyric? ;)
