Was he? Now I'm curious. I do not have violent gory fantasies but reading that graphic novel My Friend Dahmer I do wonder about my own tendencies toward desperate comedy.

Most of the murders in my part of town still go unsolved. As far as I can tell an untraceable gun and a mask and generic clothes are all you need. If you’re connected to the victim you’re pretty much ****ed, however. 2+2 = people are still killing for sport and you don’t need to be a genius to get away with it.

So now that I actually have wireless headphones finally, I GUESS I want podcast recommendations. Podcasts centered around (or just adjacent to) the following topics would be nice: pop culture analysis (especially of the trashier variety, or old hollywood), unsolved disappearances, non-murder mysteries beyond the obvious famous ones, um sociology in general I suppose as well as The Internet in general (especially if it involves murder and schemes), anything food related especially if it involves food trends of yore and is not overly pretentious or snooty, britney spears, enochian magic, gnosticism and gnostic-adjacent/dualistic early religions, Mesopotamia, mental illness/psychiatry in america (including anti-psychiatry/psychiatry critical stuff as I find it very interesting), folklore, conspiracy theories (of the more whimsical variety), cats dogs wolves birds etc.
