Anyone up for this? I'll start:
Did anyone catch the symbolism of how at the end of the celebration dinner for Abel, which had devolved into a wicked and debauched party, Mother (who'd been trying to get everyone to behave and stay in line) keeps pleading with a couple to get off of the sink, which is not yet anchored. They keep defying her until the sink rips away from the wall and water starts spraying out all over the place. All of the party-goers quickly leave and are absent for the middle portion of the movie. Obviously this is a reference to The Great Flood. Mankind had gotten wicked and were refusing to get in line so God caused the flood and wiped everyone out. Discuss.

![]() I can understand how some would find it boring if they hadn't latched on to what Aronofsky was doing. Damn, he painted Eve as one ****ing wicked bitch. Maybe she just resented God for being created out of a scrap of Adam's body. One big question I was left with is what is the crystal? Obviously it plays the role of the forbidden fruit when Adam and Eve break it. But how does that tie into how God keeps using it to rejuvenate the planet?

The movie is a lot funnier if you just choose to take it literally. It's kinda like that scene in the first Hobbit movie where the hobbits invade Bilbo's house, only extended by two hours and with all the further escalations that would follow with the longer running time.
