Default [BONUS POLL] MB Video Game Classics: Bubsy 3-D

If you don't know about this game. You absolutely should. Possibly one of the worst games ever made and it's notoriously bad. It's actually famous for how bad it is. So why not turn it into a classic while we're at it!

Never played this one, but I did play one or a couple of those old Bubsy 2D games (don't know if there's one, three or a hundred). Really bad. Can't imagine janky 3D controls would make that series better.

I could write a whole journal about all of the unbelievably bad games I've played.

The controls are the worst. You have to manually turn the camera when you wanna switch your pov and the playforming isn't fluid. You take a lot of leaps of faith and hope you angle was right to make the platform. It's got so many clunky controls that it actually angers people.

A lot of Playstation 1 games that I like have somewhat poor controls. Deathtrap Dungeon and Duke Nukem: Time to Kill come to mind.

I'm pretty tolerant about clunky controls, but even I have my limits. I wonder if anyone legit likes Bubsy 3D. Like, not ironically, but as an actual good game.

I'm not sure. All reviews that I've ever seen have always gone towards the negative. The whole series has been bad and it's a lot like the same effect that Sonic games seem to give. Bubsy however is jus plain bad. No interesting story. Nothing to engage with. And in the first game, you couldn't even jump on an enemy because it'd kill you. Plus there's fall damage. Who in their sane mind puts fall damage in a platformer. Completely defeats the purpose. They tried to reboot the series recently and the reboot was also poorly made and met with unfavorable reviews.

Oh yeah, I thought it was an April fools joke when I first heard that someone was gonna reboot it. I mean, who the **** would want that?

If I was doing Twitch streams, I'd totally play through Bubsy 3D just for the giggles.

Like how I would never play ****ty games on my own, but I would with a friend. I've completed all sorts of garbage games together with my brother. It's like watching bad movies: Fun if you've got company. Except some games are so bad it's just torture no matter what attitude you take on.

Just for reference this is Bubsy 3D. It's even better looking than I remember.
