Fun to play for two minutes and then you're done with Tetris. I'm sure it was amazing for its time but I have a hard time imagining why anybody would care now. It's a brilliant mini-game.

I don't know about that. Haven't played Tetris specifically for a while, but there are some games in the same vein that I have played a lot. Columns (was on Sega Genesis) and Cleopatra Fortune (arcade game by Taito) come to mind.
I like games like this. Simple, minimalist on the surface. Very deep underneath. |

Yeah sure but how much do you play Tetris or care about playing Tetris?

That's how I vote differently than a lot of people do. If I didn't care about it, I'd vote it 3 or less.
I voted 5 because it's a challenging and interesting game and I feel like playing it right now. |

Certified classic that I still play to this day.
![]() I have that on a saved ROM file, so those scores are over an extended period of time. At that point you're at Level 19 or something and it's blazing fast. Hope to someday crack 600,000. There is a documentary about this game called Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters where several players come together for a competition to see who comes out top dog. |
