Also "Water for elefants", "The TIme Travelers Wife", "Warhorse", "About TIme"...too many too count but "Marley and Me" was a bit unexpected so it tops my list.

Looking over my movie shelves, I don't have a lot that I would downright categorize as "sad" movies.

Have you seen the movie? It's got an interesting perspective, since it's about persecution of idealistic youths, not about persecution of jews.
