**** it. I'm doing bonus polls as an added bonus during the week.

Anyway. Let's discuss Goldeneye. If I see one 4/5 or lower, I will be shocked.

That means you DWV.

And yes, I'm talking about the N64 game in case there's confusion.

Very fun for it's time. After this and Perfect Dark, Free Radical perfected the formula of polygonal first person shooters that aren't boring and souless shelf fodder with TS2 and Future Perfect.

Hasn't aged perfectly, but still pretty bangable. Kinda like a milf celebrity that never went nuts with the plastic surgery.

I'm surprised nobody else has weighed in on this one.

Even back then I thought the controls were ****. The N64 controller is the biggest abortion in controllers and having to press a button to "free aim" while standing still or slowly going up or down with the C-pad was ass. Not to mention that literally every aspect of first person shooters has been improved upon 1000 fold since.

10/10 Would rage at ***gy best friend for cheesing with remote mines again.

Gave it an extra point for being an important, influential game. Personally at this point I think its a 2/5, but for the poll I gave it 3.

I'm pretty sure if I tried to play the campaign it would be entirely underwhelming but if I were to play splitscreen with three other drunk 90s kids it would be the time of our lives.

Couch multiplayer tends to be at least somewhat fun - even in the worst games you can find.

Being drunk on a couch with your home bruhs is just fun all by itself. Throw retro games that dick suck your nostalgia into the mix and it becomes better than sex because you don't need to pretend that women are people to enjoy it.

I do love the multiplayer in this game tho. And I remember many nights of playing the split screen with my brother. So much fun.

It's definitely hit or miss especially since it was way better as a kid. I don't think it'd hold up well today. But...there is a Goldeneye multiplayer app that's totally free and you can download it aND play multiplayer online. It's really fun.

Except for the whole, "All the people who play it are terrifying and can headshot you in 1.5 seconds without even stopping." How the **** do you even become a headshot surgeon in Goldeneye?

When you update the controls to where you can use mouse and keyboard, it shows the games age. But I still have fun. But yes, you can get headahot a lot.

Wait as in aiming with the mouse like a modern shooter? Then it's not even Goldeneye.

That's sort of my point.

Why is that even a thing that's allowed? That should be taken out. Even if you're playing old style controls it defeats the purpose of playing it if the other players are mouse aiming.

The server was mostly made for that tho. Its goal was to give people an updated Goldeneye.

Then go play CoD. The goal should be to play retro Goldeneye online.

CoD is nothing like Goldeneye.. You go play CoD.

It's still fun to play in the servers though because it has a remixed version of the original soundtrack and the graphics are completely original. The controls are just tighter and it actually feels good to play.

Goldeneye is not supposed to feel good to play.

So you're pro "fixing" Goldeneye? Why not fix Doom while you're at it?

I'm pro players taking any game and putting their own spin on it for others to try. I think it's positive for the gaming community. If you wanna attach "fixing" that's on you.

But then why not just play another game? Why play Goldeneye if you're going to make the controls just like every other modern shooter? That just sounds like nostalgia without having to actually play the damn game.

I'm guessing cause some people find it fun.

How bout we take the turrets out of LoL and just have it be a twitchy free-for-all?

They did fix Doom. And they have a sequel coming out for it. It was literally released a few years ago.
