I got both with all the expansions but SC2's load times are a bear for my computer. But there's no way you could be worse than me. I am biologically designed to be terrible at StarCraft. I also have WarCraft 3 but tbh I never put that much time into it. The unit engagements seem to take forever since the game wants to be an RPG just a bit too much.

Fair enough. However if it were Warcraft III, I'd probably school your ass. I have so many god damn hours put into that game that I can basically play with my eyes closed.

Great minds think alike it seems. But fair enough. I think Starcraft is the better game when it comes down to 1 v 1 combat. The story for Warcraft is great, but Starcraft really puts a focus on making sure everything works well together. And man, when you have a huge base on your side in Starcraft, it's like you're managing a freakin' city.

Yeah my ability to multitask falls apart pretty quick so all those Day9 lessons about "Pylons and Probes" go out the window about five minutes in. I think I'd need to actually drill myself with a set schedule like SC was my second job to be able to overcome my innate scatterbrained nature. And don't think I've never been tempted to do that.

Day9's been doing a series on learning to play SC1 btw ever since the remaster came out and my god is he my favorite teacher including real teachers. So if you ever feel like dusting off the ol' Terran Marine boots...

I can understand that dwv as Warcraft was the one I played first but I still think Starcraft just takes Warcraft and makes it better enough.

First experience means a lot. Red Alert 2 is still my fav RTS for reasons other than it actually being better than other RTS's. It was my introduction to the genre which I didn't even know existed beforehand, the units were fun and ridiculous, and I put so many hours into it that it's a solid competitor for my most played game of all-time. But I would never say it was actually a better game than StarCraft/Brood War.

I dont have a problem calling a game better than another game. This is a subjective discussion unless you plan to talk about some specific comparison that can be analyzed objectively. Youre just lying to yourself about which game you think is better.

My only comparison that I mentioned earlier is that Starcraft just feels more involved. There's more management that has to take place to ensure victory. As much as I love Warcraft, it's very easy to just build a ton barracks and constantly throw units at your enemies. That's just me tho. I'm not claiming that as fact.

Secondly your base in SC feels way more structured than WC
