Default Best Indiana Jones Movie

There can be only one.

For me, it's Temple of Doom. The fact that it shocked people into making the PG-13 rating fucking cracks me up.

I used to love Temple of Doom as a kid and since it was the one Indiana Jones movie I owned I've seen it infinitely more times than the others and I never got why it got so much flack. Then I tried watching it a little while back after many years and the cringe shocked the hell out of me. I think I turned it off around the time they were at the campfire and Willie was running around screaming at everything in the jungle while Indiana and Shortround were oblivious. The slapstick was too over-the-top even for me.

No wait I think I turned it off at the bug tunnel.

Yeah, Willie ruined the movie. I don't know if it was the writing or the acting but she's way too annoying.

Even Indie's reactions too her are too over-the-top and silly. At times it feels like a badly directed and edited comedy.

As I've rewatched them over the years, The Last Crusade has been the one that's stayed fresh for me. Temple of Doom much less so. I loved it as a kid though.

Crystal Skull was ****.

The Last Crusade is great, very close to tied for first with Raiders for me and I think The Last Crusade has the better ending.

I actually liked the chick from Temple better than the one from Raiders. I found her less annoying if you can believe it, and that whole storm of cheesy double entendres when she and Indiana are prepping for a hate fuck was like a collection of Batlord replies. Temple is my fav because it's the one that most fully embraced the fun and ridiculousness of the Adventure genre. It's the one that everyone loves to hate, but whenever I watch Indiana Jones with other people, it's also the one that people are most likely to put their phones away for.

Anyway, in terms of female leads, let's be real. The hot nazi chick from Last Crusade >
