I'm still thinking of Realms of Arkania 3: Shadows Over Riva as the best RPG ever made, but I've never been able to return to it, since I completed it in the late 90's. It's so old, so clunky, so hostile towards all forms of user friendly design. Just creating your 6 character team before you start the game takes a couple hours if you wanna do it right...

As much as I like NV, I feel like the path to success was much more linear than Fallout 3. Not to say I didn't explore as much as I could, but it didn't feel as fun running up to an abandoned building as it would in Fallout 3. Could easily just be due to the setting since I have a soft spot for a post apocalyptic Washington DC. And I mean c'mon, finding the White House in Fallout 3 was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I wouldn't really go as far to say Fallout 4 fits into the category of a traditional Fallout RPG. It did a lot of things great, especially the gunplay. But I think they tried to do more than they could chew instead of just sticking with what they know. Now, with Fallout 76 on the horizon, I'm very much looking forward to what will happen. The idea of people fighting each other seems really cool and I hope it's done in a way that makes Fallout shine like it should. |

New Vegas was definitely one of those games I got addicted too and played all day until I beat it. Couldn't get enough of it. Fallout 3 on the other hand I played after New Vegas and realized it's less buggy and the feel and look of the game is so much better. Also got addicted to it for weeks. Then Fallout 4 came out and it's obviously the best looking Fallout so therefore New Vegas is proudly at the bottom of those two games. Still a good game though let's not get that twisted.
And I don't main Widowmaker anymore. That goes to Pharah now.
