The Official Netflix Originals Thread
Netflix has been expanding its efforts as a production company for a while now, so I figured that they should get their own thread. Feel free to discuss Netflix's films, television, and documentaries as well as its impact on the industry and any other interesting related discussion topics that you can think of.
A few of my favourites are Beasts of No Nation (thriller about child soldiers), Black Mirror (tech-based sci-fi anthology), Gerald's Game (horror, psychological horror, thriller), and American Vandal (satire on over the top crime documentaries). Ain't nobody got time to sift through all of the stuff that Netflix throws at us, so what are your favourites? |

The obvious one is House of Cards, though is that an original, given that it's a remake of a BBC show? And then I'd have issues with Black Mirror being touted as a Netflix Original, since that began life on Channel 4 and they really just seem to have taken it over.
There's one about black slaves making a run for it - is it Underground or something maybe? Looks interesting, but I have so much stuff still to watch on my Sky box I don't have time for Netflix. One of these days I'm going to look through what they have though: seem to have some interesting shows. |
Pretty cool documentary on Obesity
They show an autopsy of a blubbery corpse. Obesity is in the title |

I almost made it through the first season of Peaky Blinders before I realized I don't care what happens next.
Stranger Things was really good up until the last couple episodes of season 1, when it just turned into monsters chasing people in the scary woods. I didn't bother with season 2. I don't think they're Netflix originals, but Sherlock & Ripper Street were really good. |

Not totally sure if it’s a Netflix original but Pervert Park is pretty interesting.

I still enjoyed my time with it quite a bit. I thought it was an interesting way to go about it and I enjoyed the story. I just didn't feel as connected as I have with other great episodes. I'm sure if I watch it again tho I'd really enjoy it. I did go through several of the endings / outcome. No complaints there honestly.
