Default Infomercials

We've all been subjected to them. Maybe you're coming in from a long shift, or just too lazy to go to bed just yet, or they've come on while you're waiting for a progamme to start. Maybe you've been stuck at some TV that's the only distraction at a hospital or some other area where you have to wait. Most of them are annoying, and after a while they become almost hypnotic. Which ones do you hate or even love the most? Has any one of them ever caused you to go and buy the thing that they advertised?

For me, it's this ****ing crap. I am so sick of hearing this bitch go on about her god-damn product! Kill yourself, do us all a favour.

Since I don't have cable, I've found them pretty easy to avoid.

You're lucky. I remember being at the hospital with Karen overnight once. Normally they're not at all fussy about people staying in A&E with the person they came in with (family, carers etc) but this one time apparently some staff nurse got a bee in her bonnet and enforced the "nobody except patients and staff allowed" rule (which is hardly ever adhered to) and had us all kicked out. So, for about seven hours I was outside in the waiting area, with this playing on constant loop on the one TV there (not sure why nobody got up to change it, and I was too tired and too self-conscious to do it myself)...

The worst thing about these (other than the fact they exist) is that they go on for maybe ten minutes at a time (before being rerun) and the amount of repetition in them is ridiculous. If I had heard "Remember, this is only using the power of steam!" one more ****ing time....

I just get up and turn the TV off so I can read.

I kinda do like to watch those infomercials with two hosts and watch the one not talking so I can marvel at their facial expressions and head nods.
