Dennis from IASIP: I honestly hate myself for this, but there's just.. *gestures vaguely* so much. Like, if my vanity and warped appearance related anxiety/dysmorphia (and repression) were blown up to absurd proportions and spawned a tulpa, it would be Dennis.

Don Draper from Mad Men: I loathed him but I share the same tendency to compartmentalize to an insane degree/block out past events entirely, and reinvent myself (or indulge in excess) periodically rather than actually process traumas. Also the weird disassociative episodes that seem to happen cyclically. And the secret self-loathing that can seemingly only be soothed by outside validation from peers/lovers. I relate to Betty a lot as well since she's kind of like the photo negative version of Don-- his seething, partially repressed pain/anger and perpetual dissatisfaction folded neatly inward into a placid shell.

I relate to Anya and Buffy equally.

Oh, and in terms of literary characters-- Jane Eyre (and Mr. Rochester too actually, almost equally). Obviously.
