Is there any value in watching Dunkirke if I've already seen more than 5 war movies in my life?

Pretty much why I haven't seen it yet.

We are both very cool and edgy.

It's not your typical war movie in that there's no cheesy story; the only objective is to put the viewer right in the midst of the action. The main character barely speaks. I actually think you guys would enjoy it.

I just watched Three Billboards and didn't really like it, but that's still a retarded reason to not give the man an oscar/not want him to win an oscar.

The only person whose opinions on movies I take seriously are my own.

Well you should reconsider that because you're missing the character development for the non-traditional ending. At least that's what I assume.

I'd say open endings are rather commonplace now, especially to people who watch every kind of movie. I doubt I would change my opinion just based on reading the ending or any single character in the movie differently.
