1 more level to go and then i'll probably get my placements in today, not too late to jump on the bandwagon elph.

tfw elph finally tries the game and immediately is hooked

spent my day off grinding my placements. went 5-5 and got placed mid gold. 2320. not too bad. now the grind for plat is back on.

Idk how you casually play HS unless you like arena and are good enough to go infinite. Otherwise you just get stomped by people like me that spend more than they should every expansion.

If i lost that muchi wouldnt play. I love playing off meta and making my own decks but if the decks strategy only comes to fruition 1/10 games i get bored pretty quick. Not fun when you lose so fast your deck doesnt get to use the strategy it is based around vs the other decks strat. Its also the reason i find face/aggro decks so incredibly boring to play with or against regardless of win %.

I used to hate Tracer, but I've come around to her cause she's great for flanking and popping off shots to push the other team back. I mained Widowmaker but she gets a little stiff after awhile. It's funny because I put Overwatch down for so long and now I'm pretty balls deep at the moment.

I know you dont play a lot but that's not really true at all.. The two top control decks right now (Machine Gun Priest and Cube Lock) wreak havoc on all the meta face decks.. they can still lose ofc but they fight back and survive very well.

The problem is at your rank you'll hit tons of bots and people looking to grindfast, so you see more face representation than you will at higher ranks.. There are like mini-metas depending on your rank range.

Stopped playing HS seriously ages ago, is public matchmaking still a cesspool of unbalanced bs?

If you mean do they still match you with people that have a far superior collection, than yes.

I would def recommend checking out the new dungeon run solo adventure though.. It's quite entertaining for a short while.

no i'm angry because widowmaker offers hardly anything to the team because it's a team based game and widows mechanics basically mean unless you're obliterating their healers (which widows seldom do) you offer very little to help your team

I'm not quite sure what you mean? The way I use her is pretty useful. I hang back, get fully-charged shots on the enemies and have the team do the rest. & hey sometimes I get headshots and eliminate them where they stand. I take down 50% percent of their life with a single fully charged shot. So fuck you.

If no one confirms the kills you weaken you're basically just buffing the enemy healer Ults.. which is probably more often the case than you realize.

right but in terms your team is down a man in every team fight whenever you don’t have a good shooting angle or aren’t hitting your shots

basically what im saying is unless you’re a superb widowmaker you’re better off playing essentially any other hero in the game. at least a dps is guaranteed damage, a support can still heal, and a tank can soak damage. widow in a bad game isn’t gonna do **** all.

i’m mainly just yanking your balls, i want my teammates to play whatever their best at. but my hatred for widowmaker runs so deep i cant help but get a little tilted at the sight of her name.

I think bronze ezreals that cant hit a skillshot is more appropriate, but yes, pretty much.

So Q... I played a few games today, lost all but one.

Anyway the first match I'm in the people were talking about supports and how it's hard to rank.. I jokingly said, "just 1 trick mercy and climb to masters". I was then told Mercy is not in a good place right now (and others chimed in to agree!), and she's not good for climbing.. Needless to say we got wrecked, I didn't even know how to respond without sounding like a condescending dick or ****ting on team moral before we even left the doors, so I just shut up.

I understand she's less popular in high ranks but the meta's are completely different.. The stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

lol mercy not in a good place, that’s amazing. her pick rate is double any other hero in the game atm which means regardless of whether she’s “op” she’s destined to be adjusted soon.

personally i would keep her the way she is, maybe nerf her ult to only last 10 secs (i think it’s 15 or 20 atm which is a bit nuts) and then buff Ana a bit. there really isn’t a bad healer atm. Moira can dish out 10k dmg and 10k heals if utilized to max potential, Zen’s discords can win games if he communicates well, Lucio’s agility and ults can single handily win objectives, and Ana is still fantastic when used with a tanky comp and played right. she could use a tweak to reach levels of the others tho. regardless, the game is probably the most balanced ive seen it atm. not many useless heroes nor is there many over powered. just some cheesy stuff but that will always exist in some form.

i played a few console games tonight with my friend, was gonna finish placements just for the hell of it but it was awful. not only does the game feel incredibly sluggish and ugly on console, but we got smashed in 3/5 games. i doubt i’ll bother playing the rest of my placements, pc is just too much better tbh.

I already play weird as fuck, but I can work some of these in without screwing things up.

ive seen a fair few league players rock the 1-2-3 for skills

my keyboard has grooves for the WASD keys so i feel like playing with any other configuration would feel off

ive been played with ability buttons tho, found myself accidentally ulting off Q too often so now im using a side button on my mouse for ult

i cant trust a guy who only plays 2 games

Elph can play moira. Support minimal aiming dps. Perfect.

mercy and junkrat nerfs out on the PTR servers... huge nerf to Valk. can’t believe they didn’t include a moira adjustment but im sure it will be coming.

also that’s why i love winston, no aim needed. just jump and spray, drop your e, jump out.

So no instant rez, reduced speed, and 5 seconds off duration. Honestly, I think she'll still be awesome she just won't feel like a mandatory pick anymore which is good. I love her but I hated feeling like it was 8v6 when the enemy had one and my team didn't.

Mercy was like a mandatory counterpick to herself.

as for Junkrat, they just upped his skill cap a bit. I don't see it changing much, the concs are pretty easy to aim. I'll still crush chokes and riptire stacked comps.

yeah i think it’s a necessary nerf. i’m not rly a fan of always playing the same hero so it will be nice to get in some more ana/sym/zen games once the meta changes to not be so mercy oriented. according to masteroverwatch i’m in the top 6% of players for heals per min as mercy though :cool:

just need to be put on suicide watch when it comes to rezzing

i hope your familiarity with league will help you out with the moba influenced elements of the game, cuz i cant put up with you being as bad at OW as i was at LoL.

We'll I have no plans to 3stack comp.. even duoing makes things more of a headache, but it's fun. I'll help carry him in quick play though.

masteroverwatch is a website that lets you track your in game stats and SR movement. you know about op.gg for LoL? it’s like that but for OW. just type in your battlenet name and # and it’ll give you the low down. find it’s rly helpful for keeping an eye on what you need to improve.

well your ult charges off dmg done, elims, healing etc. so you could feed ults to the other team all day

also unlike league for ex where you can try and retreat from team fights, the entire game of OW is based around team fights. so by running out and dying (feeding) youre putting your team in a 5vs6 which theyre now probably gonna lose.
