Interest check: the Music Banter Movie Club?
 

Anyone interested, or should I just go **** myself? Same format as the Album Club, with the obvious exception that we watch movies instead of listening to albums. If anyone is interested, do you think weekly is okay, or do you want to go for fortnightly or even monthly? Let me know if anyone would like to try this one out.

Movie Night was different. Didn't you all have to watch the movie at the same time or something? A live watching? I'm not proposing that.

I don't think I'd be interested no matter what the specific rules are. There just isn't a good movie service that works just like Spotify (being free, good quality, availability, etc.) and movies take a long time to watch and pretty much exclude the possibility of multi-tasking. For me, listening to an album is vastly easier on multiple levels. Plus I already have a huge stack of movies I will probably want to watch more than most movies that would be recommended in a movie club thread.

Yes, and then we had a discussion thread after it that worked pretty much like a movie club. It has since died out a little bit but it was fun while it lasted.

I would be down, hell yeah. Some people might be discouraged by how difficult it can be to find movies whereas most albums are available for free on YT.

I probably wouldn't. My taste in movies would be like Elph with music :laughing: Plus I'm too much into getting the new journal ready and some other things. Sounds like a good idea though.

Would rather Movie Night on Plug started up again.
