I heard good things about A Cure For Wellness but I haven't seen it. Not sure if it should be on that list.

Had no idea Haneke even had a film out this year kinda shocked actually.

Haven't seen many new movies this year but Logan and Dunkirk were ****ing ace.

There's a few movies I've missed like John Wick: Chapter 2 and Logan that I'm almost certain I'll quite enjoy. The only upcoming movie that I'm really looking forward to is The Disaster Artist.

We're almost 10 months in the year. Believe me pal, 2 months will fly by, then it'll make sense, so just have patience and stop being a bitch.

Blade Runner 2049 is 98% fresh on RottenTomatoes as I write this. I have a feeling that will end up in this thread.

I'm seeing Blade Runner in a handful days and I'm pretty excited about it.

The original is my favorite movie of all time.
I'm going to have to try very hard not to let that get in the way so I can be fair to the new one.

For now, Alien: Covenant is my top movie of 2017. Haven't actually seen a lot of the movies that came out this year.

Of the ones I've seen:

- War for the Planet of the Apes.
- John Wick: Chapter II

So far Trainspotting 2, Free Fire, Baby Driver, Get Out, and The Devil's Candy have been the only films I'd watch again. I'm eager to watch Raw, mother!, It, Wind River, Blade Runner 2049, and Lucky.

Alien: Covenant is pretty decent. Blade Runner though I have to watch again very soon, and you better believe that's gonna be an IMAX night for 2049.
Both great, War though is fucking incredible. Best Apes film in my opinion.

Sadly don't think I even have the option to watch it in IMAX where I live.

I'm not going to take the train to Copenhagen just for a bigger screen.

Contrary to the opinions I hear where I live, IMAX is not overrated.

I would like to watch a movie in IMAX one day when it's more convenient for me.
Interstellar is another one I might end up cursing not having watched that way, along with Bladerunner 2049.

I'm glad I saw Gravity and Avatar in Imax so I won't have to watch them again.

I saw Interstellar in Imax too but that was a great movie that I'd gladly rewatch.

Re: Ape films.

In one of the biggest burns in Oscar history IMO the apes in 2001 lost out to the apes in the original Planet of the Apes in the best makeup category.

Kubrick's lady apes ain't even sexy. Apes is the clear winner.

Dr. Strange was probably dope in IMAX. I knew I couldn't handle watching it with 3D glasses on. So I passed on that option.

I honestly hate 3D films and find that 3D just extracts me from the story and makes me highly-aware that I'm sitting in a theatre wearing a pair of dorky glasses, surrounded by people's oblivious moms who are trying to touch the stuff on the screen in dumbstruck wonder.

i say this every time it's brought up but... great? really? i mean interstellar is good yeah, very good even. but great?
