I'm glad I saw Gravity and Avatar in Imax so I won't have to watch them again.
I saw Interstellar in Imax too but that was a great movie that I'd gladly rewatch.

Re: Ape films.
In one of the biggest burns in Oscar history IMO the apes in 2001 lost out to the apes in the original Planet of the Apes in the best makeup category. vs.

Dr. Strange was probably dope in IMAX. I knew I couldn't handle watching it with 3D glasses on. So I passed on that option.

I honestly hate 3D films and find that 3D just extracts me from the story and makes me highly-aware that I'm sitting in a theatre wearing a pair of dorky glasses, surrounded by people's oblivious moms who are trying to touch the stuff on the screen in dumbstruck wonder.
