A Delicate Balance (1973, Tony Richardson)

The way language works in this adapted Edward Albee (standing ^^) play continues to intrigue me. The social milieu is not one in which I grew up (also, card-carrying Republicans) but Albee sets the self-interest, greed, dysfunction, fear and yes, love, in these people to poetry. Not an easy feat. Reminds me of Chekhov in its best turns. For theater lovers - a must viewing. Nice streamer.

Just discovered this on The Tube. Saw it years ago and was transfixed. I was younger and more forgiving. Thought some here might appreciate the dark artwork. The plot: A young man goes to a school for servants run by a brother and sister. That's all you need to know. Enjoy the ride (good YT channel for flicks, btw).

As far as shows I just finished rewatching The sopranos for the 3rd time. I appreciated a lot of the subtle psychology and patterns much more this last time around...it's still my favorite show so far.

now im trying to rewatch twin peaks in the same vein. I only watched up till near the end of s2 the first time around... when certain events which i don't wanna get into interrupted me finishing the series. but hopefully this time i'll go the full distance
