Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Case of Mr. Pelham (1955)
The series has disappointed me so far but this episode is a refreshingly odd departure from what I’ve seen. |

![]() ![]() Downhill Racer (1969, Michael Ritchie) Robert Redford's beautiful icy American egomaniac of a ski pro, Gene Hackman's usual Machiavellian positioning and Ritchie's direction are all in the service of Brian Probyn's fantastic cinematography. He captures the absolute emptiness of these people and their "culture". Criminally underrated 60s classic. |
