^ I've been watching it too, though the questioning has gone on way beyond my attention span, so kudos to Old Man Mueller who is hanging on in there, on what must be the toughest day in his life.

To me it's not pointless; most people knew going in that this was going to be the movie of the book and it looks to me like the dems are getting some answers that clarify the report. Those might provide some killer soundbites, and that's when we'll see if it's been pointless or not: when we see how are analysts, politicians and the public respond to the soundbites.

^ Yeah, a lot of it is like that , I think. But right out of the gate Mueller said plainly that the report does not exhonorate Trump, so perhaps we'll now hear less of that claim. Mueller also repudiated another Trump claim: that Mueller was turned down in a job interview by Trump. This is one of the lies behind Trump's "conflicted" tag for Mueller, so maybe that idea has been eroded today as well.
I was hoping to hear Mueller flat out contradict Barr's version of the report's conclusions, but Mueller isn't going there. So, maybe not pointless testimony but certainly a meagre fulfilment of Dem hopes.
