I was watching that ****house Constantine the other day and could not understand a single thing either Keanu Reeves or Shia LaBeouf was saying if they weren't yelling. Primer had the problem for me if I recall correctly, which is a shame because the movie's heaps of expository dialogue. It's a noticeable trend that's had an uptick in the past decade or so. The degree to which it affects you is case-by-case but I've found it with a lot of films in the past few years, and so have others.

Also 'Mid-Atlantic' is more common but the terms are synonymous.

I don't tend to mumble when I speak nor when I act. Maybe that's just a product of the culture in which I live.
