That reminds me- what the **** is up with everybody mumbling in movies now? I was watching that ****house Constantine the other day and could not understand a single thing either Keanu Reeves or Shia LaBeouf was saying if they weren't yelling. I know the Mid-Atlantic accent is a thing of the past but at least they enunciated back then goddammit.

Non-****ty examples?

Also Tim Burton is keeping the *transatlantic accent alive and well.

Primer had the problem for me if I recall correctly, which is a shame because the movie's heaps of expository dialogue. It's a noticeable trend that's had an uptick in the past decade or so. The degree to which it affects you is case-by-case but I've found it with a lot of films in the past few years, and so have others.

Also 'Mid-Atlantic' is more common but the terms are synonymous.

Yeah I don't mind that ****, like it fairly often in fact for not sounding like "movie dialogue" but the volume on my copy wasn't very loud and I couldn't turn it up enough to make all of the dialogue clear.
