sleuth (1972, joseph mankiewicz)

A man who loves games and theater invites his wife's lover to meet him, setting up a battle of wits with potentially deadly results.

Watching the original film by Anthony Shaffer with Larry Olivier and Michael Caine. Caine redid it with Jude Law in '07, a Harold Pinter treatment and Kenneth Branagh direction. This watchable copy is the only free version I could find on the net. Classic, though.

Everyone loves the Slovenian meme man who talks funny. One can enjoy his stuff without subscribing to, or even being aware of, his Hegelian philosophy of history. And last time I checked the Zizek most people know is Lacanian interpretations of Hitchcock films rather than anything overtly political.

Dude, like me, lives in Queens but I don’t even think of using public toilets. Like his energy.

flickers (1980, Cyril Coke)
Bob Hoskins and Frances de la Tour star in a comedy about a yin and yang marriage/business partnership in the early days of British silent films. Classic. Free on iMDBtv (w/ads, far less w/an ad-blocker) or Amazon Prime Video (w/o).

Lol I didn't even know they had public toilets in the subway. Had I known... I would've never entered one.

Whereabout in Queens? I quite like Astoria, there's something peaceful, un-NYC and more Toronto-like about it (not that I'm Toronto's biggest fan but NYC often gets "too much" for me)...
