Batlord/Ant.. I checked out Hunter X Hunter.

I thought it was gonna be some Pokemon type ish. Im almost through season 2 and they still have barely explained what the **** a hunter even is or does. It's kinda cool though, just finished the Gon vs Hisoka fight in the battle arena.

I've only seen a couple episodes and thought it was cool so you're far beyond the scope of any rec I might have made and forgotten about.

Go watch Vision of Escaflowne. It's got some very serious issues but the first half is literally the greatest fantasy anime of all-time. The character designs alone will stay with me till the day I die.

Oh I thought you backed Anteater on that rec. It has some really annoying things like, 2 entire episodes that recap the season and nothing else. Also, a whole bunch of wasted time at the beginning and end. It gives me serious flashbacks of watching saturday morning YuGiOh and getting 5 minutes of content in 1/2 hour and a cliffhanger in the middle of a gd action scene.

Ill check if its on the Flix of Net, I got a few other things you guys told me to try though.

I back the rec for what I'd seen as it was definitely a step above Yugioh and other generic shonen anime.

I hope you can find Escaflowne but I doubt it. It's not quite obscure but it is probably lost to the 90s at this point. It's got one of the sickest OST's though, on a level with Cowboy Bebop seeing as how it's also by Yoko Kanno.

I tried watching it a little while ago actually and liked it a bit at first but then lost all patience with that bridge building arc. All that **** with the kid and his step dad was terminally boring but I figured once they got to the action it would git gud but it was just terrible. The mirror fight looked like it was adapted straight from manga and did not at all translate well to animation and everyone else just standing around not helping for no ****ing reason except to make boring commentary that kept the scene moving at a snail's pace. At that point I felt dead inside from watching so much filler and I couldn't bring myself to keep going.
