David Lynch Survivor

Everyone's favorite film maker may have called it quits but he still left us a 50 year body of work with a plethora of masterpieces to reflect on. I bet people here would be interested. It's hard to choose a favorite though, but let's see how it would go

My list would be most likely pretty obvious. It shouldn't be hard making one up I'd say

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Mulholland Drive
Lost Highway
Eraserhead
The Elephant Man
Dune
Inland Empire
Blue Velvet

Wild at Heart {is my wildcard)

Yeah?

Stephen 05-12-2017 07:30 PM

My favourite is Eraserhead. Left an indelible impression early in my film going. I'd love to see his short films though. Wonder where I might find them all.

Mondo Bungle 05-12-2017 07:33 PM

His musical is nice too

OccultHawk 05-12-2017 07:37 PM

Elephant Man

Exo 05-12-2017 07:38 PM

Who?

Thelonious Monkey 05-12-2017 07:39 PM

If you give me till May 2024, I'll get around to watching all these movies before we start.

Mondo Bungle 05-12-2017 07:40 PM

I should get an A for effort

Watching movies doesn't necessarily take so much time

OccultHawk 05-12-2017 07:42 PM

Dead Ringers is Cronenberg

Lol. I didn't catch that.

Mondo Bungle 05-12-2017 07:43 PM

**** I'm a poser

OccultHawk 05-12-2017 07:48 PM

Besides Elephant Man Cronenberg wipes his ass with Lynch. Blue Velvet is watered down **** and Wild at Heart might as well be some **** made for Fox Television.

Mondo Bungle 05-12-2017 07:50 PM

I like it

grindy 05-12-2017 10:33 PM

I was never able to finish Wild At Heart.
I've also never seen Dune and Elephant Man.
Come at me.

The Identity Matrix 05-12-2017 10:36 PM

I'll protect you grindy.

I have never seen a David Lynch movie.

I'm not sure I can protect you.
Or whether I even want to.

Does my altruistic behavior offend you?

I need to see his movies. Where should I start?

Remember I'm still pretty young in the movie department. Meaning I have not seen everything that people have called essential.

I'd say Lost Highway or Mulholland Drive are a good start.

Dune sucks, actually.

Elephant Man is in a different class.

Spectralmusic 05-13-2017 02:27 AM

I don't believe David, he will make another movie

Spectralmusic 05-13-2017 02:30 AM

I pick Eraserhead, Blue Velvet and Lost Highway

Honorable mentions go to Mullholland Drive, Fire Walk With Me, Industrial Symphony no 1 and Dumbland

Mondo Bungle 05-13-2017 02:17 PM
