I'd appreciate it if someone could help out, point me in the right direction or even undertake to do the list(s).
Thanks

Just spotted this request. The index of my Retrobox archive might help in this regard.

I'd elaborate but given that I've trolled you in the past, you don't seem to be able to handle any kind of disagreement from me without crying about it being unfair ), you should still compile a list of what we have so far, because I'm certainly not digging through that **** either.

I already said I would do a mixed list. This may be hard for an American to understand, where everything is broadcast on different networks, but here we don't do that. If I were to say we'd do the lists based on the channels they're shown on here you'd say no dude, we don't care about that. So unless - and I mean unless - someone compiles a list of what cartoons are on which networks, I'm not doing a pile of work for something I have no interest in and which, as I already said, only two people have so far expressed a preference for.

I've no problem including more cartoons in various cats but I'm not making this an unnecessarily time-consuming task. I've already done the decades and that took some time. I'm happy to include others but unless a) the majority want networks as separate cats and b) someone does the list, don't expect me to do it.

It would be the networks that the shows originated on, not simply where they're shown. American cartoons are commonly directly associated with their networks. Makes a lot more sense to me than just a bunch of runoff lists since they are an actual category, not just leftovers.

PLEASE SHOW US WHAT LISTS ARE ALREADY FLOATING AROUND, THEN, TROLLHEART.

And put them in the OP for future reference.

Are you just trying to annoy me? Well obviously. Please don't shout: it's very rude. I already told you that the lists are being finalised, by everyone here, and WHEN they are COMPLETED and DECIDED they will THEN be put in the OP. Until then, they remain where they are; you only have to look back a few pages to find them. Oh wait, I'll help you even with that so you won't bruise your fingers scrolling your mouse up and down unneccesarily ... http://www.musicbanter.com/media/888...ml#post1828042

Only you and Batty have pushed for networks so far, and as it's quite clear that you both just love stirring the **** in any thread I make, your opinion is becoming less and less important to me with each day that passes. That's not to say I won't listen to you or that you don't have ideas that could be implemented, but I won't be taking your ideas just simply because they're yours. You're going to need support to convince me that the idea is one that should be implemented. So...

Let's hear from the rest of you. The proposals I have at the moment are:

In addition to the lists of decades we can add

Option A: NETWORK categories. This will require someone to compile these lists though as I am not doing it. This category would not include any cartoons already listed in the decades cats.

Option B: WILDCARD categories. This will allow anyone who wanted something included on the decades list, but was unable to get in on there, to suggest it for any of of five to ten Wild Card cats. All you have to do is ask for them to be included. The idea would be probably 20 cartoons per category.

What say you? Have you a preference? I'll also consider any other ideas anyone might have for a third option.

Edit: If the consensus is, however, that we should do ONLY networks, I could see that being a possibility. In that case the lists would have to be redone, and I would do that, but not both. I fail to see how having "leftovers" from networks makes any more sense than having "leftovers" for wild card categories? If we stick to using the decades cats anyway, all the best or most popular or prominent series have already been used anyway, so what difference does it make? They're all going to be leftovers of one sort or another.

Thank you for that nugget of wisdom. We're not doing anime.

You're the only one not pushing for networks. Boom. We win. We are both regulars of this forum, don't take it personally when you ask for help on a thread and fellow regulars try to.

I really wish you'd reconsider this very ignorant stance that you're applying to my posts, because it's only going to be a self fulfilling prophecy and you'll read negative trolling into my posts. I try not to put everything you say in the light of several of your negative attributes that I could bring up, I'd appreciate you doing the same for me.

Let's do both. That'll bring everything to the picture, since the networks is really just a good way to quantify American cartoons. Please actually consider this instead of digging your heels into the ground just because I'm saying it.

Doing by network seems like a whole bunch of extra work. I'm against it.

Some cartoons will just end up getting left out.

Frownland 04-28-2017 08:09 AM

¿Por qué no los dos?

The top of what? I told you, once it's finalised it'll go in the OP. Until then you're going to have to keep going back to that page, like everyone else, including me.

You're the only two pushing for networks. Boom. You don't win. Just because it's two to one doesn't mean nobody else is of the same mind as me, which is why I've asked for input from others. If you had a vote for something and, out of say 10 people, 2 voted yes, 1 voted no and nobody else had been given an option to vote, how does that make it a yes?

I'll be ignorant if someone is ignorant to me. You and I have history, you know this. When you give good suggestions in a calm and reasoned way I will listen, but when you shoot my suggestions down with insults, well, you reap what you sow, buddy.

You want me to do all three? And obviously, which you could see if you'd take off your "I hate Trollheart" glasses, I'm not against it just because it's you. I'm against it because it means a lot of extra work, for me or someone else, and it's not an idea I agree with. I'd be the same no matter who suggested it, so don't flatter yourself.

Case in point. Let's see who else agrees/disagrees. This isn't about me getting my way, it's about you and Batty not getting yours just because, well, you're you and Batty. If everyone else wants networks too then we can do it, but I'm not saying yes based on the opinion of only two people on the forum.

 I have been calm and reasoned. It's only when you accuse me of disagreeing with you because you're you (which is incredibly pretentious and arrogant; tables have turned) I started being a little more blunt. Go read the actual conversation, not the one that you remember. It might be a little different.

I think it'd be the best way to make sure that all the shows get included, yes.

We have to agree on a premise before we get to work on it, wouldn't you agree? That's what I'm trying to establish. It's not some personal attack, as much as you insist it is.
