You're right that I didn't. I'd explain how one could think of the beginning of the episode through the new lens without having to watch it but I'm sure you'll just be baffled at the thought of thought.

Nothing wrong with a second viewing though, but it doesn't amplify anything tbh and I've seen the episode about six times now.

Surely knowing the overlying theme would make it worse the second time round?

I knew the overlaying theme after ten minutes or so. And yes, I am a genius.

I liked the first time better because the unraveling is amazing. However, it's obviously written to be watched at least twice and I could easily see how the second time. It's a very different experience. Remarkable writing to pull it off so successfully.

I had similar feelings about White Bear.

When I say overlaying theme I mean specifically how they were doing it, which I doubt anybody would guess. I understood the "limbo" aspect pretty much right away.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
You mean it being a simulation?
That's a given in a show about technology, isn't it?

I loved seeing little things I missed the first time around watching it a second time. They had some good little easter eggs that I missed out on during the first viewing.

I don't see how anyone can literally come to that conclusion right away upon first listen. It's so well hidden that it's ridiculous.

Well if you've been watching the series and suddenly it's set in the 80's you should be thinking ok what's the catch. Part of what makes the writing so good is that they get you wrapped up in the immediate story disarming you so it's startling when the catch is revealed even though you knew that's what they were up to from the get go.
