I haven't seen many of his films either and idk why I'm recommending this to you because you probably won't like it, but the original Jurassic Park was a "great" movie. I think it did a good job of capturing the fascination and wonder of dinosaurs if you can look past all the bull**** that makes big money in Hollywood.

Edit: Also, Hook (just because it's fun). And I've heard good things about The Color Purple and Lincoln, but I've never seen them.

I appreciate the suggestion, though I am not sure I have the stamina to endure JP. For my own larger-than-life reptilian fascination, I'd more readily explore the Shōwa period of classic Godzilla films. (Something I've put off for far too long.)

Honestly I love all the Godzilla movies and I highly suggest all of them to anyone looking for a series of great (if not insanely corny) movies.

Thank you very much for the detailed response. I suppose I should familiarize myself with Speilberg's directorial style and tropes first, but I'll bookmark these. Thanks again.

Ashamed of myself for not posting Easy Rider pages upon pages ago. Absolute rock and roll bliss. The purest embodiment of late 60's Americana I've ever seen.

118.
Dancer in the Dark

You should see this before you die so that you can really know what sadness is like.

119.
(untitled)
(2009)

A satire about the relationship between an avant-grade composer and an art gallery owner. Lots of nods to landmark modern classical composers and the movie makes fun of the art world from a respectful distance, which is hard to pull off imo.
