What's your favorite game from the 90's? Mine's Doom. Doom was released in 1993 and it's a friggin' good shooter.

How does it not make sense?

You do know that Metroid wasn't always FPS right?

1. You like FPS games
2. Metroid Prime is an excellent FPS game
3. Metroid Prime is also an excelent Metroid game, only really beaten by Super Metroid imo

Therefore it doesn't make any sense that you don't like Metroid Prime

1. I don't like FPS games, I make exceptions for Golden Eye, Perfect Dark and Duke Nukem that's it!
2. I wouldn't know since I only played the demo in Gamestop once and I completely hated it.
3. I don't take FPS Metroid games seriously and only stick to the classics when it comes to Metroid. Super Metroid, Metroid 2 and Metroid Fusion everything else is bunk.

Your loss kiddo, Metroid Prime is like a 9/10 game from me

I often wonder what we did to convince other people that a game was good back in the age where online reviews weren't popular. Y'know, the good ol' days where we didn't give a **** if you liked it or not.

Split-screen (Goldeneye) and turn-based (Mario) multiplayer.

Ah the good ol' days of trusting the other person to not look at your screen to cheat. Good times indeed.

Reviews have always been popular, they were just in magazines instead. I have massive stacks of Nintendo Power and EGM at my parent's house

I more-so meant it in the same regard as game guides. You'd have to search for them, they weren't really as accessible. But I know where you're coming from.

**** that ****. If you can't deal with intelligence gathering then you don't deserve to win. The real test was trusting them not to unplug your controller.

I remember when I was younger I was playing Banjo Kazooie and I was on Click Clock Wood. I had about 90 notes and all the puzzle pieces and it would have been the first time I would have fully completed the level. Back then that level was tough to finish. My younger brother turned the system off before I could save and quit / finish the level.

lol I remember the split screen days. every single time I lost a game it would be blamed on someone watching my side of the screen.

I remember around 2003/2004 finding out one of my classmates at military school also had an N64 with Goldeneye and having some hella nostalgic multiplayer matches where I'd bitch about him actually knowing how to use the remote mines as grenades. Was epic.

You guys know that there is a server dedicated to online Goldeneye right? It's pretty active as well.
