Bro, DS9 was fantastic. The only Star Trek series to ever truly delve into world building. So to speak.

Yes, I've seen all the Star Trek series. DS9 was the only one that was so boring that I couldn't finish it.

They are sooooo good. You are missing out.
I don't want to do them any injustice by watching them without really knowing much about Star Trek in the first place. I've only seen parts of the first one, and same goes for the one after. I want to watch them in the same mindset that I watch them with Star Wars where I know the characters, and a basic story / lore.

You could never have seen a single episode of any Star Trek series and it wouldn't make all that big a difference.

Star Trek is one of those shows, either you love it or hate it. Doesn't seem to be a lot of inbetween.

I didn't know that. I'll probably check them out then. Especially since JJ Abrams was behind them and he's quickly moving up to being in my top 5 directors.

That's what I've noticed. I've tried to watch it, but it's just not for me.

Yep better to go into his movies blind. He makes it easily accessible for people that don't know the series that well. Actually if you did try to go back and watch the series then watch JJ's movies. You'd probably be pissed off. So better to just go in with his vision in mind.

Enterprise was horrible, I didn't want to see the guy from Quantum Leap leading that show. Awful.

I guess we are going to have to break out ranks.

Rank the Star Trek series from best to worse

1. DS9
2. TNG
3. Voyager
4. TOS
5. Enterprise
6. TAS(the only reason the animated series was 6 and not Enterprise is because I haven't watched it.

I actually liked Quantum Leap guy as the captain in Enterprise. I thought there was a nice continuity in the cowboy levels of the captains from Enterprise, TOS, and TNG, going from highest to lowest going forward in time.

I don't remember much of DS9, but I can say this is my order for the other four.

TNG
Voyager
TOS
Enterprise

As far as the movies go, this new one was the best of the ones I've seen. I'm not much of a Trekkie, so I haven't seen Wrath of Khan or Search for Spock, which are high on my list. I have Wrath of Khan on DVD, so I'll probably watch it today.

Beyond: 97
First Contact: 84
Star Trek Into Darkness: 84
Insurrection: 84
I've seen Star Trek. 80

I'm sure I've seen more, but I can't remember. I've always been a TNG guy since I'm pretty big on Patrick Stewart. And I was pretty big on Gargoyles as a kid.

Also, I still can't decide if I like Kirk or Picard more. I mean sheesh.

I thought it was boring garbage. Boring villain, boring plot, boring alien world, and having the Beastie Boys save the galaxy was cringeworthy.
