Honestly I didn't mind Delphox (Fennekin's final), I liked his design and his typing. His signature move was a major let down though. Then again, the only time I ever really cared about a fire starter was with the Cyndaquil line. I'm going with Rowlett this time.

I dunno, Delphox just seemed very uncreative to me, but I chose Greninja during my playthrough, so that's my bias. However, X and Y was far too easy anyway, so I suppose it wouldn't really matter. My last favorite evolution line was with Totodile, so we are alike in that regard. Feraligatr is such a beast.

I'm not sure who i'm going with yet, but I love cats so I may go with the fire starter.

Greninja was the best from that generation without a doubt. Typing, design, everything was just awesome.

For my my favorites from each are:
Gen 1: Squirtle Evolution Line.
Gen 2: Cyndaquil Evolution Line.
Gen 3: Treecko Evolution Line.
Gen 4: Turtwig Evolution Line.
Gen 5: Snivy Evolution Line.
Gen 6: Froakie Evolution Line.
Gen 7: Rowlett Evolution Line (So Far)

Mine would probably go like:
Gen 1: Squirtle Evolution Line.
Gen 2: Totodile Evolution Line.
Gen 3: Torchic Evolution Line. (Blaziken is a ****ing beast)
Gen 4: Chimchar Evolution Line.
Gen 5: Snivy Evolution Line.
Gen 6: Froakie Evolution Line.

I'm also of the opinion that Gen 3 had some of the best Pokemon in any of the games so far. It's also my favorite for a variety of reasons, including the music obviously.

In terms of Pokemon designs: Gen 3 > Gen 4 > Gen 2 > Gen 6 > Gen 5 = Gen 1
Although Gen 7 is definitely gonna be up there in the top three or four at least.

Charmander >>>> Bulbasaur > Squirtle

And Gen 1 and 2 def had the best designs. Everything after that started to get way too over designed and lame.

I could never really get into Diamond and Pearl for some reason. But I loved both Black and White and Black 2 and White 2.

Gen 1 and 2 certainly had some of the best, especially as far as Eeveelutions are concerned. However, gen 3 was an overall blast and every time I hear the music, I get nostalgic.

Gen 3 was where things started to go bad. The lines on the Pokemon started feeling too simple, streamlined, and stylized for me to believe that the Pokemon might actually be living creatures. It all started looking like Sonic the Hedgehog rejects.

I disagree, while there are some classic designs in Gen 1, I feel that they were far too simplistic in some cases. Gen 2 upped the designs for sure though.

Diamond and Pearl introduced Darkrai which is one of my biggest tattoos and hands down my favorite Pokemon ever, so I can't talk bad about that generation's designs.

Completely disagree, but that's again my bias since I absolutely love Gen 3.

The legendarys were really cool, but I feel like the game as a whole was really jam packed unnecessarily if that makes sense. The towns were unnecessarily huge with lots of unnecessary content. I never made it to the elite four in that one, so I wouldn't know what the pay off was like.
