You know, there are several parts of those videos that make me laugh (like loudly blowing my nose on camera for all the world to see/hear), parts that are tedious (like when one of my countless rambles reaches the second minute), and some that just make me cringe. That segment is one of the more cringe-worthy.

God damn that went long, and made me look like a trve n00b. Oh, and while my computer isn't good enough to record Alien: Isolation, and not quite good enough even for an eleven-year-old game like Condemned: Criminal Origins, I think I've found the perfect horror game to do that my comp will be able to handle: System Shock 2. It's from mother****ing 1999 and only costs $10 on Steam.

****, the original Deus Ex is only $7 and came out in 2000. That should work. I played the demo way, way, way back in the day, but never actually bought the game, and I've been thinking about it ever since getting Human Revolution.

To anyone still interested in this thread, I have not flaked. I was busting my ass recording yesterday, but all my videos had out-of-sync audio, and I don't have the expertise or proper software to fix those, so I eventually just gave up. It's payday today, so I'm taking the day off to drink, listen to music, watch Game Grumps, catch up on my growing stack of unread comics, and in general do nothing useful.

But tomorrow night I'll be starting...

Spoiler for Dun dun DUN!!!:

For once, an old game actually works on my computer without me having to fight it, and while there's a weird issue of the recording only showing a black screen when I start in-game (though it seems to work fine when I start recording before I launch the game), with any luck there will be no technical issues.

The only thing that will be bothersome is that my camera only shows me as a dark blob with the lights out (and I'm not playing a horror game with the lights on), but I think I've figured out how to jury rig some lighting that won't detract from the experience.

And since I'm off on Sunday I'll be able to pull an all-nighter. Kinda stoked for this.

That's pretty ****ing amazing. And how on Earth could anyone who watched the cartoon ever think that Raphael was the leader? And people who think that he was the best turtle are just wrong. Michelangelo was a ****ing stoner, and clearly the best Ninja Turtle.

System Shock 2 isn't a new game, you moronic moron from Moron Land. It's from 1999, and considered one of the scariest games ever made. Apparently it was also the spiritual predecessor to Bioshock (or some ****, idk) and was made by the same people. All I know is that if my computer can't handle recording a seventeen-year-old game without FPS issues, then all hope is lost.

You R-tard, i meant new as in the new game you'll be playing. And do you even turtle? Michelangelo is not the best one, that would be Donatello.

I'll check out your system shock playthrough once you post it. ive never heard of that game until now.

All the turtles were cool, but Donatella was the third best (does anyone actually rep Leonardo?)

If you've ever seen my posts about Alien: Isolation then you know I'm a ****ing pussy when it comes to horror games, so it should be entertaining watching me **** myself.

Edit: And I only know the game by reputation. I've never seen any videos of it, so this will be a totally blind playthrough for me. All I know is that it involves an evil, rogue AI trying to kill you with space zombies or something.

I was gonna take a break, but I love doing videos, and this was a mindless enough game that it didn't feel like a time investment. I told myself I wasn't gonna upload any videos with FPS issues, but they're not too bad, and I don't think they detract much, so here is my video of the first level of Brutal Doom, a mod of the original Doom, years in the making, that came out around the beginning of this year. Hopefully I'll be able to tweak my recording software's settings so that I can completely fix the frame rate stuff, cause I'd love to keep doing this series without any hiccups. I've got some playlists that would kick ass while killing demons and zombies.

Brutal Doom mod - Mod DB

Figure out how to get this **** to work on your own. I had to and I'm lazy and drunk. It's really not that hard.

The Batlord 04-22-2016 05:09 PM

Part 2 of Brutal Doom. Sweet game, but I just wanna know if the FPS issues make people not wanna watch these videos, cause I don't think I can make them any better. I think they're not too bad, but there's definitely an issue, and while I would love to continue this, I don't want to waste everybody else's time. Either way, you should play this **** cause it's awesome, and you should play it at maximum volume, cause the sound level in these videos does not do justice to just how loud and awesome the gunshot sounds in this game are. They are borderline deafening.
