Leonardo can **** off. Ennio Morricone got his Oscar after more than 70 goddamn years of waiting.

I honestly haven't heard it or seen The Hateful Eight, but reputation is half of the game these days.

Frownland can **** off. Leo finally got his due. Every single person in that room knew it. The guy has been killing it for years.

Rylance won! Amazing. They tend to favour over the top and flashy Supporting performances over the really subtle, understated stuff, so it's a pleasant surprise. Very well deserved.

Agreed, I thought he was the best choice. Loved his character in that film. Ex Machina winning best special effects was left field, Leo winning of course is cause for celebration. Cate Blanchett losing to Brie Larson was a tad disappointing, but Room is excellent. So is Carol though. Morricone rightfully received best score, Amy winning best Doc was no surprise. Mad Max took home most of the technical gold, cause it's a technical fucking masterpiece. I think best director should've gone to George Miller, but Alejandro winning two years in a row is fine, and the biggest surprise to me was Morgan Freeman uttering, even to his own amazement, Spotlight as best picture. I think the Big Short should've won that.
