What's with bob. and apparently being terrified of children?

Probably makes for a more interesting film because it takes something you wouldn't expect to be scary and turns it into that.

Or maybe he's been reading too much of LIL's posts.

Goodnight Mommy

definitely more atmospheric horror.....but slow building is often better when done right.....this creepy German film does it right

a mother comes home to recover from surgery and has bandages all over her face....slowly her two boys come to the conclusion that this human is not their mother

chaos reigns.

Cub

a feral 12 year old and his....hmmm adult....terrorize a pack of cub scouts while out camping

i really should not say more....just watch this film
I've heard of Goodnight Mommy and want to watch it. Most likely will soon. The other one I've never heard of, thanks for that! It sounds like something out of the ordinary. I think I'll watch Cub without looking up a trailer.

Also, kids can be scary, it depends. I guess it's really the idea that something seemingly innocent really isn't. Though, these two movies I don't think (not sure) are about the kids being bad rather than them being the victims? Don't tell me if I'm wrong I'll find out.

It all stems from a great article I read a couple months ago in Rouge Morgue about children as the antagonist in horror films...and I actually ended up watching all but one of the movies they suggested

I still need to see Cuties....which is about a zombie virus that only affects children

You mean Cooties? That one actually looks really kind of dumb. And since I actually like Ryan Murphy's work I'm kind of surprised at how underwhelmed I was by the trailer.

Yes... Cooties

Don't confuse dumb with fun....plus it's full of children eating adults

I do like campy horror but, I really can't take another bad movie this year. So I'll wait until you or someone else I know watches it and tells me if it's good or not. Maybe look up a review or two.
