Thoughts on Rockband 4
As anyone seen this stupid ass commercial?
This is the most phoned in sh*t ive ever seen, like you need an outdated rockstar to sell RB4, that baby will sell itself. Ive never owned a RB or a GH game for that matter but i have played them and i gotta admit, they are kinda fun but the sense of superiority pro players of that game have is so ridiculous. i have friends that can destroy that game on expert but can't play the most simple riff in a guitar. ive never understood how they have the dedication to learn how to play a fake a plastic guitar over a real one. the way i see it when you are playing sh*t like Dragonforce in expert you might as well pick up a real guitar at that point. Still, i can say i hate the game itself, my beef is mainly with its fanboys.. How do you guys feel about the Rockband games? do you like them? play them? hate them? i personally have mixed feelings about them.

I was one of the top 100 Guitar Hero players in the U.S. back in my prime (I had 100% full combo on expert on 63/70 Guitar Hero 3 tracks), and yes I also play real guitar quite well (obviously as demonstrated by all the music I've written and recorded)
Don't lump the entire Guitar Hero fanbase into that stereotypical belief you have. Although I know saying this is a waste of my time because you ALWAYS pull this bull**** and clearly have no intention of ever learning your lesson

Considering I can't think of a single other MusicBanter member who's said stupid **** like this...maybe you need to ask around for advice on how to write out your thoughts properly

So, the only problem with this thread is that you're asking for people thoughts on this, and instead of opening with "hey, let's talk about this!" you start off with "did anyone else see this stupid ass commercial?" Then you proceed to talk **** about the fanbase. Which includes me, btw.
Why bother talking about something when the first thing you do is stir **** up? |

One good approach would be explaining how he's wrong without all of the huffing and puffing.
