Default Sci-Fi Film Survivor

Only got a minute before I have to go to work, but I just wanted to float this idea. Yeah, this whole thing is becoming kind of a trend, but we don't have a movie survivor thread yet and this site is full of sci-fi geeks, so why not give this a try?

Basically it would work somewhat differently to the other, music survivor threads. Because there are just so many sci-fi movies out there, a lot of people may not have seen them, and it would be more difficult for one of those people to catch up with a movie than it would just an album, I'm thinking of doing them in small rounds of maybe four movies of similar style (f.ex. four sci-fi horror movies, four B-movies, four sci-fi comedies, four space operas, etc).

Since there are more than four sci-fi horror movies out there, and too many to do in one battle while expecting those unfamiliar with the movies to catch up, this would be a loose idea that wouldn't include just the four "best" in the genre, just four that happened to be chosen to go with each other.

First step of course is to compile a list of movies.

Gotta go, but thoughts?

Sounds like a plan. I'm game.

I'm on board.
I always find sci-fi movies a little underwhelming compared with the best sci-fi books, but I'm sure I've seen a whole lot of them.

It could go into either the b movie or comedy tbh.

Not quite sure how this will go but I'm a Sci-Fi nut so I'm in.

Forbidden Planet for the ultimate win.
