M. Night Shyamalan: The Visit
To be released on 9/11. Dude is really getting desperate. I predict 1.5 out of 5 stars.

I'm not exactly excited for it but I won't completely write it off just yet. It's a decent concept and super weird old people can definitely be creepy. The dude has made some damn good movies and he certainly has the potential to pull it off again. Although to be fair I'm a much bigger fan of The Village than most people and I thought The Happening was fantastic until the last half hour or so

I though that movie was good for the first 30 minutes and then completely fell on its face after that.

I figure M. Night's acid trip must've worn off and he started panicking about how to finish the movie, so he threw in some really stupid stuff that he came up with on the spot and called it a day.

I'm curious how this hack keeps getting contracts. You'd think after flop after flop the studios would have dropped him by now.
At the very least, it's comforting that he's returning to the horror genre after two terrible attempts at big budget blockbusters. |
