OK well here finally are mine. They're not actually in order, other than the top three:

1. Interview with the Vampire (1994) --- Anne Rice's historical-horror-erotica novel brought to life, though the book is far better of course. They did a decent job on the movie, and surprisingly Cruise doesn't suck as bad as I thought he would. Go Lestat! Great music too.

2. The Forsaken (2001) --- A forgotten classic of the genre. In a sort of retelling of The Lord of the Rings, nine knights were cursed to live as vampires after asking for immortality from a demon. A vampire hunter is on the way to kill one of them, whom he believes to have infected him.

3. Let the right one in (2008) --- Totally amazing film. Forget the remake, this is the one to see. That scene at the swimming pool!
4. 30 Days of Night (2007) --- Very violent but a great idea. Excellent ending, quite unexpected. Based on the comic book of the same name. Apparently.
5. Fright Night (1985) --- Again, forget the remake. Roddy McDowall shines as the TV host turned reluctant Van Helsing, and the mix of comedy and darkness sets this movie off perfectly.
6. The Lost Boys (1987) --- Kiefer "Jack Bauer" Sutherland in a vampire movie? What's not to like?
7. From Dusk till Dawn (1996) --- Great fun, with added violence.
8. John Carpenter's Vampire$ (1998) --- Another really fun movie, ultra-gory
9. The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) --- Stupid but fun, and directed by Roman Polanski
10. Queen of the Damned (2002) --- Sequel to Interview with the final performance of Aaliyah.

Back later with my top ten worst Vampire movies.
