Default Jon Stewart's final show

Stayed up last night to watch it and it was great. Funny as hell and often times very emotional. And it ended on a perfect note.

Spoiler for Spoilers:
Highlights for me.

- The extended segment where pretty much everyone who's ever worked with him on the show did brief but hilarious mini-segments. Capping it off was Steven Colbert sitting down with Jon, and after some funny back and forth, Colbert launched into a really heartfelt thank you to Jon on behalf of everyone and lauded him for being so great at what he does. He and Jon hugged only to have everyone come out on stage and join in in a huge pogo hug as they broke to commercial. Very cool.

- All of the politicos and others that Jon has trashed through the years doing cameos to give him crap. Hilary wishing he'd stay on for the rest of the campaign and John McCain working a Jon Stewart puppet while telling him "so long Jackass" being highlights.

- The really long backstage tracking shot, ala the Goodfellas Copacabana scene (along with one of the songs from the soundtrack), where Jon introduced everyone who worked behind the scenes on the show. Again, really funny. Especially when Scorcese shows up in a dressing room and warns Jon not to use any of his bits.

- His "bull****" monologue. Classic Stewart.

- The show ending with Bruce Springsteen and the E street Band in studio playing a really cool song (don't know the title but the lyrics fit the mood) and then segueing right into a condensed version of Born to Run while Jon and all of his colleagues and staff came out and started dancing up a storm with hugs galore. The place was going NUTS! Song ends, Jon gets up on stage and hugs the band, walks up to the mic, and says: "Thank you. Goodnight." while everyone is still going bonkers.

So freaking killer.

Love the Jon. I've probably seen 80% of the Daily Show, but I missed it last night. Such a class act, but I can't watch him without thinking of this:

I couldn't watch it seeing as I was at bandcamp, but I'm watching it tonight. I've been a big fan for a few years now, and I'm really sad that he's leaving.

I thought it was horrendously boring. Spending 30 minutes or more to briefly facetime everyone who has ever worked on the show may have been a nice gesture to his team but for his viewers it was about as exciting as a high school graduation. Very disappointing.

How often did you watch the show? I'm guessing every once in a while.

Bull****. I'm a longtime viewer and I loved it. And based on everything I've read today so did everyone else.

Man, you're such a buzzkill.

Sorry but it sucked. He's been great over the years but that was boring as hell.

Your opinion is wrong and that is a fact.

It was made for his staff not for his viewers. Since I didn't work on the show I was, you know, bored.
