Anything on par with John Carpenters The Thing as far as gruesome practical effects go?

The last ten minutes of Society. Also, Wishmaster has some really fun practical effects.

Wim Wenders "Wings of Desire" is among my favourite movies but I've never seen the sequel "Faraway So Close". I'm having trouble finding it here for streaming, DVD rental or just buying it outright. Just wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to get a copy or if in your opinion it's a movie worth pursuing?
Also "Pina" his documentary on Pina Bausch. Normally dance is my most loathed art form but this actually looks interesting. |
