That's a cool change.. Should create some mini points of contest (similar to baron and dragon) within the laning phase. I wonder if it will be worth aggresively pressuring opponents instead of CSing now.. Idk enough about the meta, so maybe I'm just overthinking, but from a naive perspective this seems like some really interesting theory crafting potential.

Please tell me if I'm completely wrong and CS is still king.

well i kinda like the change because CS is so crucial in the high elo game that it’s pretty normal for LCS games to have midlaners and ADC with 500-600cs and just 1 or 2 kills.

this will make a bit of a change i feel, as 1 cannon is worth more than two melees, giving the laners a reason to play aggressive for cs rather than standing under tower. i know pros are pros for a reason and i do appreciate the methodical and strategical play, but it would be kinda cool to see elements like this implemented to give higher elos an incentive to play aggressively rather than waiting for their opponent to **** up first. let me see some goddamn solo kills.

dont know if i worded it right but what im trying to say is all of sudden 30 gold means you’re gonna go for that canon and whether you get poked for it or not. that also means we should see more punishment dished out for cs’ing rather than laners (mid lane mages and top lane tanks in particular) content to having a farm/scaling competition. scaling has way too big of a role in the current meta imo, especially with runes like gathering storm. not much of a reason to play champs like jayce or zed for example because if you don’t get super fed you’re gonna fall off at at 25 minute mark when the person you’re laning against has already hit 250cs and is nearing full build

Is he the longest lasting pro in the scene now? Soo many have come and gone. Not a huge fan cause he's a dick, but he's a solid and consistent player.

he has to be. Froggen is still around the scene but i think he's taking the year off maybe? not sure. anyway, Doublelift would definitely take the title. next closest would probably be guys like Sneaky, Bjergsen, Meteos, Impact, etc.

how long has it been since you've watched? i found this season to be really interesting as they've finally added franchising to the league. it's kind of a two sided coin as it has it's pros and it's cons but in the end it's led to a really competitive season. first place in the spring split went to 100 Thieves, who are in their first season.

there has also been a massive spike in player wages because of this which (hopefully) leads to players sticking around for longer. when you see guys like Dyrus and QTpie making ten times the money they ever made as a pro by streaming, it would probably just inspire you to say "**** it" and do the same. i think for a lot of the older players that are still around, Doublelift for example, it's just their competitiveness that keeps them in it. i know sneaky streams almost daily though so he's probably preparing for the post C9 career.

ive heard a lot of ppl say silver is the hardest elo to escape. i think part of it is because silvers think they know how to play the game cause they aren't bronze anymore but in reality silver is still like basement territory.

that and the fact that you wont give up on lulu mid you stupid texan

GIVE INTO THE META

I've actually thought this for the longest since seeing you talk about soccer for so long, but it applies here as well and is even more noticeable since you've only been playing five or six months and are talking like some expert: you're kind of a try-way-too-hard, smarmy douche when it comes to talking about sports.
