Watching him on TV late at night, while being extremely stoned, is one of the best things ever. So many cherrished memories...
All my friends love him as well. One guy even had a deck of cards printed out with his most common expressions and we sometimes play a drinking and/or bong smoking game where everyone has four random cards and we watch an episode and whenever he says what you have on your card you have to drink and/or smoke.

Bob Ross perfected asmr before that was even a thing.
Patton oswalt does a great bit and the contrast with him and William alexander Even as a kid, watching Bob ross's optimism was contagious. it was interesting to see his painting being developed. he would start by laying some pink for the sky and you were like "Pfft, that's the sky? Lame." then he started adding clouds and you could see everything taking form little by little and by the end it looked amazing.

Dude wasn't all cream pies and kisses. He was a Master Sergeant in the Military and spent over 20 years in the Air Force. I used to be hooked in the mid 80's watching his show.
