Aye, Minecraft has a beautiful square world and the best thing is all the beautiful structures and little details are user created content.
Minecraft promotes creativity and that's kinda beautiful on its own and the sh*t ppl come up with in that game is ridiculous. Little big planet also has really beautiful lvls that are all user created and the stuff they come up with is kinda mindblowing.

I don't really play that many video games, but sometimes you've just gotta take a look at something as you're playing and just kinda bask in it. It's art, no question for me.
Limbo and Deadlight are a couple I've played lately that have really stuck with me; ^ It's something about a picture of someone or something silhouetted against a stark, bold background that just gets me every time. Going way back, hand-drawn backgrounds from Final Fantasy IX take a lot of beating too. Really does a lot to bring out a more archaic, storybook-type atmosphere, which really gives that game a lot of character and atmosphere; |

And you only need the old WSAD combo to play it, which makes it ideal for an old man like me
140's another one I've got on Steam that plays the same way...got some pretty awesome looking environments that react to a kick-arse electronic soundtrack. I really should play this again, it's been to long; |
