Normally I can't stand Catherine Zeta Jones but in this she plays an obnoxious new age airhead who never shuts up and thinks she's smart to perfection.

I always wondered why they strayed from the UK setting in the book. The movie would have been interpreted better from the book and it always annoyed me. I did enjoy Black and Cusack but it lacked the insight of the book on many angles.

I think they do a great job of changing locations. Hornbyis a distinctively British writer but the film never seems forced or shoehorned into America, and portrays Chicago convincingly.

I agree it was well done, I just think it would have been interesting to see the other side of the coin.
