I don't think Aronofsky should be mentioned in the same sentence as David Lynch. But then again, I am a total fanboy.

Very true, even though I think Pi is up there with some of Lynch's films.

Pi is great, and I would say Requiem is as well - though like The Fountain, somewhat flawed. Requiem is saved by Ellen Burstyn, innovative and original editing, and a flawless soundtrack.
The rest of his films leave me somewhat cold. I know The Wrestler and especially Black Swan have their fans, but I just really didn't warm to them.
Even Lynch's bad films have something about them that keeps me revisiting them. Wild At Heart is by all accounts, pretty dire. Still seen it loads of times, and it keeps me entertained. But again, totally biased.

didnt care for this movie at all tbh

i thought they should've stuck with the whole conquistador plot and disregard all that **** about the bitch with the tumor.

You an me both. In fact, no director should be in the same sentence as Lynch. He's a unique snowflake unlike any other. It's almost like how Wes Anderson has a style all his own, as does Lynch.
