I can't remember the last time I saw a movie more than twice in the theater and I rarely read books more than once, but I have read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series numerous times, probably four or five.

I've tried and failed to read Finnegan's Wake at least five times.

If the new avengers movie kicks ass, I will see it again in the cinema.

I'm still planning on giving Ulysses a shot, but Finnegan's Wake sounds brutal.

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Neuromancer" are both books that I've read a whole bunch of times.

I've seen "The Warriors" quite a few times back to back, even if not in a theater. But my crowning accomplishment in movie endurance is watching John Carpenter's "Dark Star" three times in a row.

"Naked Lunch" might be the book I've reread most, several times I started all over immediately after finishing. It's so full of weird and hilarious situations, that it never runs out of surprises.

I don't go to the cinema, since movies in Germany are dubbed and it sounds terrible, even if done well.

I feel pretty much the same way about A Clockwork Orange as you do about Naked Lunch. I first read it at 14 years old and I think I picked it up at just the right time in addition to being a phenomenal book.

I had something even more similar with Hesse's "Steppenwolf". I read it the first time when I was about twelve and then read it once or twice a year until I was eighteen or nineteen, always discovering something new.
But I generally enjoy reading books several times, I've read all my favourite books about three or four times and especially beloved ones like "Steppenwolf", "Naked Lunch" or "Invitation To A Beheading" more than ten times.
