Ralphie May's voice was a gift from god for delivering comedy.

Seems like you just like this special for ticking that box and not actually being funny. Or you know, the role of comedians.

I don't think that that bit is very funny either tbh, even though if I massively agree with the sentiment behind it.

You just don't happen to like his politics so now it's "boring." Mindless hypocrite.
Dude, they're clearly jokes so I don't give a ****. They're just not that funny and I find the intent behind them to be pretty childish. Frankly if anyone here is zeroed in on the politics of the special, it's you. I'm just discussing it because you've introduced it to the conversation.

Funny how I pretty much called this huh. Chappy should take notes.
yes. Doing what you described would be bad.

That's not what he did.

I mentioned the politics cause they were central to the theme of the special.

He didn't actually take any specific political position... He made both left wing and right wing points... Both bigoted and tolerant, backwards and enlightened.

I don't agree with the politics per se. I thought the comedy was well done and thought provoking and that was not at all vindictive or unfair to any body.

Not really relevant to vindictiveness or comedic value, but ok.

So agree to disagree or should we go around in a circle a few more times?

The central point I was making in the original post you responded to was the juxtaposition between the different topics he addresses.. and how they flow in completely opposite directions... So how you can accuse me of simply looking him cause he " checks a box" begs the question of how good your reading comprehension is.

Touting it as being better than other modern comedy specials because it "does what REAL comedy is supposed to do" certainly makes it seem like you're just giving it kudos for checking that box.

The fact that you won't shut up about it kind of suggests you're really concerned with the politics in a way that overshadows your appreciation of the comedy.
